Students who score a '4' or higher on the AP Chemistry Exam receive credit for CHEM-1010 Chemistry of the Biosphere and  CHEM-1011 Chemistry of the Biosphere Lab . If students wish to waive the CHEM-1200 General Chemistry I Lecture and CHEM-1201 General Chemistry I Lab requirement  typically those who scored a 4 or 5 on the AP Chemistry Exam) can do so by contacting a member of the Chemistry Department to schedule, take the exam, and score at or above the 70^th percentile in one attempt of the ACS First Term General Chemistry Exam.
