Philosophical Inquiry

The following courses satisfy the Philosophical Inquiry Foundation.

A course will fulfill one of these learning goals:

  • Evaluate philosophical arguments (in terms of logical soundness) drawn from the subject matter of the course.
    OR
  • Understand the philosophical thought of 2-3 major philosophers (as distinct from historical, psychological, literary understanding).
    OR
  • Understand first principles and methodologies as necessary to address philosophical problems related to the subject matter of the course.
