Procedure to Update the Faculty Handbook

After all faculty meetings and workshops are finished for the school year, the chair of each standing faculty policy committee will carefully review the Faculty Handbook and submit changes or revisions that have been approved that year to the Senior Vice Provost by June 1. The Provost and Senior Vice Provost will review these changes and incorporate these, and other changes approved by the President’s Cabinet into the Faculty Handbook. Some additional, non-policy changes, clarifying processes or language, may be made by the Provost and Senior Vice Provost in the course of editing the handbook. The updated Faculty Handbook will be available online through CourseLeaf </fh/> by August 15.

Graduate Studies Policies & Procedures

The Graduate Studies Policies and Procedures are not part of the Faculty Handbook. They are included here for reference for faculty teaching in the Graduate Studies program.

Federal Accreditation

Pursuant to Kansas S.B. 78, approved Spring 2025, beginning in 2030 Benedictine College will review the accreditation standards set by their accreditors every five years (or as the College is made aware of potential conflicts) to ensure they are not in conflict with Kansas state law. The College is aware that it may select any federally approved accreditor for its federal accreditation.
